Found 5 out of 6 strange statues all over Prague. Pissing Fountain was hilarious since I caught a little boy shocked staring at it.
The food, the atmosphere, the holiday spirit!!! Trdlo was delicious!!!! It survived the airplane trip back home without being crushed!!!!!!
It is easy to get around Prague. You have tram system that is excellent even if we didn't use it. We walked. The Charles Bridge is gorgeous at night.
The night views are excellent shots. We climbed to the top of the Clementinium. The library is fricking unbelievable beautiful!
We have seen the El Escorial library in Spain, the long room old library at the Trinity College in Ireland, and this library in Prague is tops and was simply awe for us!!!
Take the tour to the top of the Astronomical clock. The sun sets at , so either get out early at 8 to sightsee or enjoy the early evening!
Seating Charts just like Japan movie theaters was awesome. Nice theater. Lots of shops but we didn't go. The river tour was okay. Nicer in the summer to be outside even if we were inside.
Prague is just awesome. Astonishing architecture and more! You can enjoy strolls around the old town, the river, the castle, Charles Bridge, the many towers and chapels and the more modern Lesser quarter.
There are everywhere in the city. The cafeteria in the "Municipal House" is the definite "classy" place to be in Prague.
The city is full of cathedrals heavily decorated with Bohemian stained-glass. We found Saint Vitus in the Prague castle particularly impressive.
The Jew tradition is also apparent. There are many synagogues you can visit. Meet the "Golem" strange creature around and ask for its story.
It's interesting. It only scratches the surface of the history and life in the communism period. The cultural life of the city is vibrant.
It was a clever and inspiring interpretation. Prague seems an interesting city for modern arts too and especially photography.
We did not have time for more but we left with the impression that there much to see around. We changed the year in the old town square.
The concert pop-rock was vivid and there were thousands enjoying the evening. There was no countdown for the turn of the year, but the fire-words were awesome.
Other brilliant spots were the astronomical tower on the hour , Jewish quarter the changing of the guard noon at the castle. My favourite place to eat was J.
Murphys near the Mala Strana I'd recommend the fajitas also great value for money plus if your not into beer the serve a Czech cider which is sweet and refreshing.
Don't overlook the Czech restaurants though you find great value for money and great home cooked food! Prague is perfect if you like to stroll around everything is really within walking distance and it's a fantastic way to see the city.
But if your not big into walking then trams and metros run everywhere and are easily accessible! Although I don't regret seeing the inside I just think for that money you should get a little more.
Prague is an old city with a young soul. The architecture is outstanding. Always remember to look up while walking in the streets otherwise you will miss the sight of beautiful buildings.
The modern shops are merged very well with the classic buildings. Shopping, food and drinks are cheap compared to other European cities. City is small so you can basically walk it all on foot.
We stayed for 5 days, did not take any transportation. Local food was ok but not outstanding. We attended a classic music concert, it was not bad, but had a rather small orchestra around 10 persons , not a full orchestra as one would expect.
If you 're into clubbing and don't know where to go, check pubcrawl out, they arrange group clubbing every single night and take u to pubs and clubs.
Czeck does not use Euros, it uses Coronas. When you exchange money, make sure you exchange from a shop that do not take commission, in one shop, we paid 28 EUR commission to exchange EUR!!
The free Prague tour is highly recommended you are expected to pay a tip though. The guides are very interesting and speak perfect English. In Christmas, there are nice big Christmas markets in the major squares where they sell souvenirs, street food, and sometimes play live music.
I would definitely visit Prague again. Prague is such a beautiful city. Not only are the buildings and landscape breathtaking, the people are very artistic and creative.
The city is full of details that one visit is simply not enough to cover. Firstly, if your budget allows it, eat inside the Municipal House as the interior is simply gorgeous.
The old town square is fantastic in itself, but when the Christmas market is set up the whole place exudes a magical atmosphere.
Charles Bridge is great to browse through the booths of handicraft and get a great view of Prague castle. Eating or drinking along the river is great way to relax.
Prague castle is huge and just St. Vitrus alone is already worth the visit. You can get a great view of Prague inner city from here, but for the best views, visit Strahov monastery or Petrin tower.
A bonus to Strahov monastery is the beautiful Strahov library. If you don't want to walk too much, there are trams and the metro to get around, or you can rent a Segway that many tourists rent to cover distances faster.
Prague is a must-go city if you visit Europe! After visiting many great capital cities of Europe, I have to admit my heart has stayed with Prague.
It is an unbelievable city if you love history, culture and architecture as much as I do. The Old part of the town, which seems like a little town in itself, is filled with palaces and museums which make you feel like you just stepped in a fairy-tale.
If you're lucky enough to catch some snow, the atmosphere is wonderful. If you're going in January, however, or if you know it's going to snow, make sure you have appropriate shoes.
I had some boots which were fine, but since Prague's streets are mostly cobbled, I would slip every 5 meters, so I had to buy new shoes there.
